Lauricia (Laura Marek) was born and raised in a small town in Eastern Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia. She grew up surrounded by music, with musical parents who inspired her to start singing before she could even talk. As a child and throughout life, Lauricia has always enjoyed learning to play new instruments by ear and has been known to accompany herself with guitar, violin, harp, djembe, accordion, etc.
She has written well over 500 original songs in various languages, and her mission is to bring happiness, healing, love, cultural understanding and empowerment through her music. She's currently creating new music and planning a tour in the upcoming years. It is her hope to touch as many lives as possible during a future tour and take everyone on an incredible journey of the dragonfly's life; Lauricia's life. It is through this story she envisions connecting hearts through divine love and kinship.
She has been recognized worldwide for her attempt to sing one of the most challenging songs, Wuthering Heights, by Kate Bush. The hauntingly beautiful high notes hug Lauricia's vocals as she seems to channel Cathy during the entire melodic journey. You can find her singing that song on Youtube or down below. You will be able to see by the over 100,000 views and comments that her worldwide fanbase is beyond impressed with her vocal ability alone.
Currently, she is working on a project on Youtube called 'Every Country in the Entire World' challenge, in which she sings a song from every country in the world and even tries her best to speak the language from that country in the video. She has her pet dove pick the next country to be presented out of a box and started the catch phrase, 'We dove you'. She has even gone so far as to include territories, which will be over 200 videos once the project is done.
Lauricia is appreciative of every dollar of support from her fans. She wants you to know that these donations are used for the extensive list of things she must spend money on, like recording and production costs, instruments and equipment, marketing and promotion, music videos & content creation, legal and administrative fees, distribution costs, merchandising and so much more!
